On Sat August 1, our Managing Director, Mike Beatty, completed a 12-hour walking challenge with the aim of raising money for an industry friend who has inoperable brain cancer.

Mike says, “I know times are tough, so I’m respectfully asking anyone who can help to do just that. We are raising money for a remarkable individual, Martin Brunning. He has been diagnosed with a terminal brain tumour, is now unable to work and is fast running out of time.

“As well as finishing the building work in his home, one of his wishes is that he is able to complete a home cinema room for himself, his wife and children to enjoy in the time he has left. This will be something his family will be able to use when he is no longer here. Somewhere they can remember the great times they’ve enjoyed with him. Martin has been working hard to get this done himself, but he is running out of energy and money.”

Mike completed the task with help from Carla Miller, his fiancée Lou, his son Ollie, Lou's son Zach and Josh his nephew

Mike adds, “Due to the advanced nature of the tumour, we are desperate to raise the money as soon as possible so that we can get this room finished for them to get as much benefit from it as possible. Please, if you can, be generous. This will mean the world to me and of course to Martin and his family.”

So far, the market has responded magnificently with a total of just under £5K raised with generous donations from individuals as well as companies including 12-hour walk sponsors IsoTek, AVANIT, Encore Home Technology, Baker Stone Systems, Lighthouse, Modus Cinema Experience, Kaleidescape and Immersive Cinema Rooms.
