Available now, we are very excited to offer a new solution from James Loudspeaker with the 63SAS-7HO-2.5R and 63SAS-7HO-2.5L Small Aperture loudspeakers, which are available with either right and left offset.

This means our installation partners can fit a high-quality speaker system that lines up perfectly with lighting fixtures that have been installed close to the ceiling joists. In this clever design, the woofer port and mid-range/tweeter assembly are canted either to the right or left side of the enclosure, enabling installers to place the three-inch grille exactly where it needs to be. The new offset Small Aperture (SA) speakers also help to accommodate plumbing or other obstacles that may be encountered when installing an architectural speaker in a ceiling or wall.

Keith Parke, National Sales Director at James Loudspeaker, explains, “Based on feedback from integrators about the challenges they face on real-world job sites, our engineers were able to make the Small Aperture series even more versatile with the introduction of these offset models. Our capacity to create and execute new product designs quickly in our US factory is an asset to our dealers and continues to distinguish James Loudspeaker as a true solutions provider.”

We at Pulse Cinemas could not agree more, aligning ourselves with innovators such as James Loudspeaker means we can truly add value as we offer access to manufacturers who do not follow the ‘me too’ design approach, but deliver unique solutions which solve the real issues our installation partners face every day.

Versatile high-performance architectural speaker

In a little more detail, the James Loudspeaker 63SA-7HO features aircraft-grade aluminium construction and modular design, created to provide long life and easy service, while a built-in limiter circuit offers long term reliability. The 63SA-7HO’s compact footprint and seven-inch depth are best suited for in-ceiling applications.

The SA series of speakers is available with an array of three-inch round and square Microperf grilles and has also been designed to accept industry standard three and four inch lighting trim kits to allow a neat integration with similarly styled lighting products. The Microperf grilles use smaller perforations and offer a less obtrusive, almost invisible presentation designed to vanish into any décor.

The new speakers incorporate high-performance proprietary aluminium drivers and are available in both three-way and two-way versions. Each speaker is housed in an aircraft-grade aluminium enclosure designed to minimise resonances and enhance durability, even in high humidity. The new models deliver clearly defined bass response, eliminating the need for bulky external sub-woofer modules in most systems.

Designed for multi-room audio and cinema room clientele seeking a premium performance solution that outperforms traditional architectural speakers, the Small Aperture models deliver higher output capability, true high-fidelity, superb off-axis performance, unmatched durability and aesthetic perfection.
