Mark was born in Cambridge and spent most of his youth in Saffron Walden. He joined Pulse Cinemas at the beginning of 2015 and, today, leads our Operations department, providing the crucial bridge between sales, delivery and aftercare.

We pulled him aside from his busy day to ask him a few questions.

Tell us about the role you play at Pulse Cinemas and how it impacts those around you

I am currently Operations Manager that has me overseeing the purchasing department but I have many other hats. I am also the in house technical support, warehouse manager and Kaleidescape guru. I like to think I run a tight ship while allowing those around/under me the freedom they need to carry out their roles and express ideas for new procedures etc.

From a very young age I was interested in all things technology (I built my first PC at around 10 years old)

Can You Give Us a brief career history?

I started off in the leisure industry but from a very young age I was interested in all things technology (I built my first PC at around 10 years old). I then moved in to retail where I moved up the chain very quickly and soon was recruited to be a manager of Game in Bishop’s Stortford. I stayed here for just over 10 years as it satisfied my need to be around technology and also helping people. While there I was a frequent buyer from my local home cinema shop and then one day a previous employee approached me about joining Pulse and the rest, as they say, is history.

Mark's deep operational knowledge of our company and the industry as a whole, plus an excellent strength of character & work ethic make him a true asset to all those he supports and leads.

What's your favourite way to spend your day off?

My favourite way to spend a day would be out in nature, seeing friends & family followed by a movie.

What do you love most about working at Pulse Cinemas?

The people are what makes Pulse a great place to work. Not just the employees either, as we have some great dealers who we have great relationships with also.
