GUIDELINES FOR FABRICS TO USE IN COMBINATION WITH A SHORT THROW OR ULTRA-SHORT THROW PROJECTORS

Below you will find the Screen Research updated home cinema System guidelines concerning the fabrics to use in combination with a short throw (= ST) or ultra-short throw (= UST) home cinema projector.

For all fixed frame and frameless screens, the following Screen Research fabrics are perfectly suitable for both ST (short throw) and UST (ultra-short throw) home cinema projectors:

·         ClearPix Ultimate White 0.75 (not available for T-CLF and CLF screen models)

·         ClearPix 2 White 1.0 (only available with T-CLF and CLF screen models)

·         SolidPix White 1.0

·         SolidPix LightStop White 1.0

For all motorized drop-down screens, the following Screen Research fabrics are perfectly suitable for both ST (short throw) and UST (ultra-short throw) home cinema projectors:

·         ClearPix 4K White 1.0 (not available for SLMF, CLCLT, CLCTS and CLIC screen models)

·         ClearPix 2 White 1.0 (not available for SLMF, CLCLT, CLCTS, CLIC and MS2-IT screen models)

·         SolidPix White 1.0

·         SolidPix LightStop White 1.0

The SolidPix 2 Grey 0.9 can also be used in combination with both ST (short throw) and UST (ultra-short throw) projectors, if a non-acoustic transparent Grey fabric is required due to ambient light being present in the room.

The ALR (ambient light rejecting) FusionPix Grey 0.95 fabric can only be recommended with ST (short throw) projectors but exclusively for commercial applications, where a certain amount of hot-spot effect is tolerable. In a residential setting this will not be acceptable.
