Now the company’s resident RTI ‘guru’, Russell started working in the world of AV as a ‘Saturday boy’ in his family’s Hi-Fi shop from the age of 13 back in 1992.
Russell progressed to full time after leaving school and developed a keen interest in Home Cinema. Later, home automation became a strong focus as well particularly AV control when learning how to program Philips Pronto TS1000 remotes for customers.
After some time spent away from the industry in the Telecoms and Data Comms sectors, and then into the offshore industries, Russell returned as a self-employed installer and also worked in technical support for other installers and within specialist distribution.
All this valuable experience is now available to Pulse Cinemas dealers specifying the RTI platform working with a professional who knows the system inside and out.
Away from work, Russell loves spending time with his wife and two children as well as walking his dogs and working on his car (just to keep a modern classic on the road).
A keen DIYer with two renovations under his belt, Russell has just started on a third, including full home automation and AV integration of course. ‘Playing about with’ (and always hopefully improving) his home cinema is also a priority. His movie tastes are the classics and comic book titles.
